TL 2019 Wk-7 Somethings Working!

I hit a new indoor personal best 16.67 meters (54’ 8”) Sunday to win the USATF New England Championships.  This was a pleasant surprise considering I only practiced shot put 3 times in the past 5 weeks, and I also lifted 6 days last week.  The only modification I made to my lifting plan was I removed a supplemental exercise, deadlifts, from my program on Friday.

I think I am on the right path with my 6 day/week lifting plan.  I have had numerous personal bests in the weight room recently, and every marked throw on Sunday was over 16.00 meters.  

I am excited to see how I compete next Sunday, at the Boston University Last Chance Qualifier, coming off of a personal best and after heavy doubles in the weight room.
